We are a Specialty Wedding and Event Rental Company specializing in high-end linens, napkins, and chargers. House of Hough is dedicated to spreading our unique style and flair in all of Texas. We specialize in the extraordinary, and thrive on challenges. Much of our customized linen inventory is unique in our markets, and our greatest joy is creating never-before-seen tablescapes. House of Hough is all about crafting textile options that make your statement and fit your style.  

Through our sister company, Premiere Events, House of Hough can help elevate any table-top design. Premiere’s diverse and impressive table-top selection of plateware, glassware, flatware and cutlery – ranging from chic and stylish to classic and elegant – is preferred by H of H event professionals and  event holders alike. Our Story

Founded by Clara Hough and fueled by her love of textiles and fashion, House of Hough was launched in 2005 as Over the Top, a Houston based specialty linen company. Over the Top Linen rebranded as House of Hough in 2015, and for almost two decades, the company has been recognized as Houston's top fine linen rental company.   

Renee Pool joined the company as a Partner in June, 2018, and immediately added value with her sales, marketing and operational expertise. Clara and Renee formed a powerful duo, building connections within the events community and establishing the company as a force to be reckoned with.   

The ‘COVID Experience’ extracted a toll on House of Hough, slowing its growth and stymying its progress.  Like many other events-industry owners and operators, Clara and Renee, along with the House of Hough team, faced  unique and unprecedented challenges. It is a testament to the organization that key team members were retained though this difficult period, and a few remain with the organization to this day.

In August of 2024, Clara and Renee approached Premiere Events with view to opening a dialogue about possible acquisition. Earlier that year, Premiere had announced its Woodlands operation expansion plans, and was taking  initial steps to establish a Woodlands showroom location. The timing was perfect for Clara and Renee to complete their House of Hough journey and to invest their talents and energies in perusing other opportunities and directions. 

Delores Crum, President of Premiere Events, along with Executive Team members Angela Nussel, VP of Administration, and  Rick Crum, VP of Operations ‘convinced’ Richard Crum, Premiere cofounder, that the House of Hough represented an unpresented Premiere opportunity. On December 23, 2024, House of Hough was officially acquired by Premiere Events, and became a member of the Premiere family.

On behalf of Premiere, and the Crum family, we are grateful for the House of Hough opportunity and look forward to building on the House of Hough Legacy. House of Hough, and the Premiere team, share the same values, and Premiere will maintain the commitment to quality, consistency, value, trust and caring on which Premiere was built and for which House of Hough enjoys a well-deserved reputation.

In truth, under our leadership and guidance, House of Hough by Premiere Events, will become an even better version of itself. The Premiere team will bring renewed energy, keener insights, and broader perspectives to bear on the company’s aspirations and operations. Access to capital resulting from its solid banking relationships will enable Premiere to continually expand its product and service offerings. The impressive Woodlands showroom, cohousing Premiere and House of Hough inventory selections, will elevate event rental ‘shopping’.
